Installing Labels or other media

  1. Release the top of the printer by sliding the two light green tabs on the side towards the front (see image Step 1).
  2. When the printer "pops" open, lift gently then lower the entire top half for the arm to catch onto 1 of 2 notches that holds the top open (Step 2).
  3. Place the roll of labels onto the roll holder. If the media is on a 25mm core instead of 38mm, remove the 38mm core adaptors from the edge guides. If the media is on a 76mm core, attach the external roll holder to the rear of the printer and firmly feed the label spindle through the media core and feed through the back of the printer.
  4. Ensure the roll is central on the roll holder, and then feed the media under the first white roll (Step 3).
  5. Feed it under and between the two pale green label guides. Close these guides so that the media is snug in between them and can't move side to side (Step 4).
  6. If you are going to be using the black mark sensor, slide the sensor left or right for it to have a visual on the black mark or holes.
  7. Rest the start of the media on the front rubber roller (step 4).
  8. To install a ribbon, move onto the next section. To close the printer, move onto step 9.
  9. Lift the top half of the printer to release the holding arm, and lower it slowly. Push firmly on the edges until it "clicks closed" (Step 5).
  1. Lift the lid and release the printhead using the green catch to the right (see image Step 1).
  2. Load the roll of media on the roll holder at the back of the printer (Step 2).
  3. Feed media over the media guide, under the next media guide, through the sensor, and under the printhead (Step 3).
  4. Close the upper guide(s) (Step 4 upper arrows).
  5. Slide the metal guide to hold the media. (Step 5 to 6).
  6. Slide the sensor so the little arrow is over the media (preferably over the gaps, black lines or holes between labels) (Step 5 to 6).
  7. Close the printhead down (Step 7), install a ribbon (if applicable) and calibrate the printer.
Please note the below photos are for the LabelStation Industrial range, but they are very similar to the Pro240 / Pro340 range.
